The power and influence of your associations is awesome

In “Wings To Fly” your daily lift off to soar to greater heights I discuss the power and influence of our associations.  Our associations are important because they touch, shape and mold us either for better or for worse.

Ask yourself:

1.  Who am I around?

2.  What is “Who” I am around, my associations, doing to me?

3.  What do they have me becoming?

4.  As things stand today, is that acceptable?

The first question, who am I around may seem to be the easiest to answer.  You can make a list of all the people you are around.  That is a good start.  Also include in that list what you read and the TV you watch.  These are key elements of what you associate with in life.

The second question, what is who I am around doing to me is a little more difficult.  Ask yourself how you are feeling and thinking after you have been with these people, watched your TV programs or after what you have read.   This second question must be answered as accurately as possible.  It requires some deep introspection on your part.

The third question, what do they have me becoming is easy to answer if you have done the thinking on the second question.  Are you angrier, happier, more thoughtful, loving, distant or fearful after your associations?

The fourth question, as things stand today is that acceptable is you call to action.  This is the hardest one.  It must be addressed for you to move forward.  If something is not acceptable, you have the power to either limit its influence or delete it from your life.

Take a close look at the power and influence of your associations.  Know what they are doing to you.  Know what they have you becoming.  And determine from your answers the course of action you must take to put your life on a trajectory for greater success and happiness.

The above is a sample of the type of readings you will find in my daily reader, “Wings To Fly.”  They are short, less than a page ask you to devote 1 to 3 minutes a day to your self-improvement.
